Looking for 10 people to set an FKT!

FTK Enduranlar

What is an FKT?

FKT stands for Fastest Known Time. It refers to the speed record for completing popular or historically significant routes (such as the Lycian Way). These records are maintained by a volunteer-run organization at fastestknowntime.com. An athlete or team attempting a specific route records their effort (via Strava, GPX, etc.) and submits it through the site. Following a review, if approved, they are listed as the person or group with the fastest time on that route’s page. For more detailed information, you can check the FKT Guidelines.

What is Enduranlar Doing?

We are looking for 10 people to set FKTs within the borders of Turkey! While FKT culture is very common in Europe and the USA, it is not yet widespread in our country. To contribute to the growth of this culture, we are giving a 5,000 TL indefinite gift voucher (redeemable at enduranlar.com) to each of the first 10 different individuals or groups whose FKTs are listed on fastestknowntime.com starting from February 1, 2026!

What are the Requirements?

  1. The attempted route must be within the borders of Turkey.
  2. The attempt must not have been made during a formal race organization.
  3. The attempt must be listed as an FKT on fastestknowntime.com.
  4. Once the attempt is listed, it must be submitted to us via the form at the bottom of this page.
  5. The route must be one that is recognized by the community.
  6. We will provide 1 gift voucher per FKT (individual or group) that meets these conditions. You cannot receive a second voucher.

What does "a route recognized by the community" mean?

While applications to the FKT website are reviewed, errors can occur, and records that don't meet their own criteria might occasionally be accepted. For example, if you run 5km on the Bostanlı coast and it somehow gets listed on fastestknowntime.com, we will not accept it. Similarly, while getting a CR (Course Record) on a popular Strava segment is great, if it is not a suitable FKT route, it is not sufficient for us even if it is somehow accepted there. It must meet the criteria mentioned here.

What may be a good FKT Route?

  • The Lycian Way, which is already listed on fastestknowntime.com.
  • Other trekking routes in our country: Efeler Way, Carian Trail, St. Paul Trail.
  • For those wanting shorter attempts, mountain peaks: Erciyes Summit from Tekir Gate, Hasan Summit from Karbeyaz Hotel, Emler Summit from Mümtaz Çankaya Mountain Hut.
  • For those wanting longer attempts: Crossing Turkey from the farthest east to the farthest west, or north to south.

I've found my route and I'm going to attempt it

First and foremost, it is useful to read the FKT Guidelines. Based on the guide, you can decide which style you will use for the attempt (Supported, Self-Supported, or Unsupported), make your plan, and carry out the attempt. Good luck!

I achieved the fastest time, what’s the next step?

Congratulations! Now it’s time to get verified. You can follow these steps:

  1. If the route is not on fastestknowntime.com, you must first submit the route.
  2. Once the route is approved, you must submit your recording via the FKT submission form.
  3. If your attempt is approved, congrats! Now you can send the FKT link to us via the form below, along with your contact information. We will review it quickly and get back to you.
